David Wickwire is a partner in the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where his practice focuses on representing fast-growing technology, software, digital media, and clean technology companies, as well as several early-stage venture capital firms. David has a broad range of experience in corporate and securities matters; counseling entrepreneurs in starting new businesses; and advising on the formation of companies, capitalization structures, equity compensation arrangements for employees, negotiations with investors and acquirers, and other issues vital to their success. David has worked on over 500 private financing transactions, including seed-stage equity and convertible debt financings, venture capital financings, strategic investments, and growth capital. He also has negotiated joint ventures for his clean technology clients. David regularly gives presentations on technology company start-up issues and venture capital financings for various programs at the University of Washington and at start-up community events. He also is actively involved in Techstars as a mentor and has represented more than 30 participant teams.
