Brent Fassett is a corporate partner in the Boulder office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represents emerging growth companies and the investors that support them, focusing on the life sciences and medical technology industries. He specializes in venture capital financings, public and private merger and acquisition transactions, IPOs, licensing and commercial agreements, employee compensation plans, public company reporting and disclosure issues, and securities law compliance. He has also counseled numerous investors, including angels, venture capital funds, and investment banks. He represented these investors in seed round investments, later stage private transactions, including managed private placements and leveraged buyouts, and public offerings of equity and debt securities. Prior to joining Wilson Sonsini, Brent was a partner in the Denver office of Cooley LLP, where he joined in 1995 and became partner in 2004. Before that, Brent was an associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis, where he began his legal career. Brent serves on the board of directors for the Colorado BioScience Association, which champions a collaborative life sciences ecosystem and advocates for a supportive business climate.
