Tobias Bannon III is Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Corporate Department and is vice-chair of the Life Sciences Practice Group. He is also a member of wiggin(x). Toby counsels Life Sciences clients of all sizes – from startups to large global enterprises – in some of their most critical endeavors, including intellectual property transfers, complex licensing arrangements, research, development and collaboration arrangements, clinical trials, and manufacturing, supply, commercialization and distribution agreements. Toby’s enthusiasm for learning each client’s business and technology makes him a dedicated advocate in advising and representing the interests of his clients and negotiating on their behalf. Before becoming Partner at the Firm, Toby served as Research and Development Counsel at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. There, he served as legal counsel for the business’ global Research, Development, and Medical Affairs organizations, providing advice and counsel, strategic guidance, and legal document drafting and negotiation. Toby’s time as in-house counsel offers him unique and practical insight into the needs of a rapidly-growing and evolving business. Earlier in his career, Toby was an Associate in the Life Sciences Practice Group at Wiggin and Dana. Toby received his J.D. from Boston College Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review. He received his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame with a dual-degree in Science Preprofessional Studies and Philosophy.
