Jack Sousa is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Corporate Department and focuses his practice on venture capital, startup and early-stage companies and their financing needs. In addition, Jack has a broad-based corporate and commercial practice, including handling mergers and acquisitions and other complex commercial transactions. Jack’s clients range from venture capital firms and family offices to high-net-worth investors to early-stage companies. He is also a member of wiggin(x). Jack has over a decade of extensive experience advising clients on corporate, transactional, commercial and regulatory needs. Jack’s client base covers a wide range of companies including, venture capital, market research, software, digital media, technology, manufacturing, retail, apparel, non-profits and joint ventures. Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Jack worked as managing principal of a corporate boutique law firm based in Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut State Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York. Jack’s recent presentations include Seeing All Sides of Investments in Early Stage Companies for the Connecticut Bar Association’s Connecticut Legal Conference (September 2020). Jack currently volunteers his time as the President of the New Canaan Men’s Platform Tennis League, the President of the New Canaan Youth Softball Board, Co-Chair of the Business Law Committee of the Fairfield County Bar Association and the President of the Fordham Law Alumni Connecticut Chapter.
