Jeffrey Segal Bio

Jeff Segal is a health care and tax attorney who counsels and represents various health care organizations and physicians and group practices through a myriad of matters –including the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), the Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark Law) and HIPAA. Jeff helps clients both up front, in analyzing these complex issues, and then in helping resolve matters that arise as a result of potential or alleged non-compliance related to AKS, Stark Law, state and federal False Claims Acts, licensing complaints and contractual disputes. Jeff also has experience with Michigan law and regulations regarding facility and provider licensing and investigations, and handles all strategic aspects of health care and contractual negotiations involving physicians and health care organizations. Tax-exempt organizations also rely on Jeff’s sound guidance and his intricate knowledge, which allow them to obtain exempt status and to maintain compliance and fully benefit from the same.
