Charlie Goode represents both public and private companies and nonprofit organizations in a variety of transactions. He has broad experience working with community banks and the financial services industry in Michigan and beyond. Leveraging an excellent work ethic and deep knowledge gained over more than two decades, he handles mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and regulation, corporate governance and general banking and corporate matters, among many others. He also assists SEC reporting companies with compliance with reporting requirements. In addition, Charlie handles transactions relating to Michigan infrastructure and public-private partnerships (P3), most notably representing the Canadian government and Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority on the Gordie Howe International Bridge. He also represents community development financial institutions and other nonprofit organizations in nationwide debt securities offerings that focus on the rapidly growing area of social impact investing. Charlie always strives to deliver the most value to his clients, and part of that involves strategic matter management. He gets people with the right experience involved at the right stage, which provides clients the best value. Clear and frequent communication, not only with clients, but with the internal team, other counsel and other advisors, helps facilitate smooth and successful transactions. Additionally, a high level of responsiveness and personal attention are essential components of his practice. Having served in several firm leadership positions, Charlie is currently chair of the finance committee.
