Daniel Mendelsohn focuses his practice on various corporate law matters, including corporate governance, securities transactions, business succession planning, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and real estate investment trusts (REITs). Dan has represented issuers in multiple stock and debt offerings, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and other financial transactions. He regularly represents startup biotechnology companies in financings and corporate governance matters, and investment companies incorporated in Maryland on state corporate law, including takeover defenses and shareholder litigation. Dan also serves as outside general counsel to startup technology companies, and as a special legal advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families. Dan speaks regularly on the topic of business succession planning and is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches business law.
