Paul Allaer Bio

Paul is a Belgian native and obtained his law degree at KUL. He subsequently obtained two graduate law degrees in the United States and now has been a longtime U.S. resident. Paul has over 30 years of experience in corporate and M&A matters at Thompson Hine. The bulk of Paul’s practice consists of advising foreign (non-U.S.) corporations expanding into the United States in whatever form (merger, acquisition, joint venture, greenfield investment, start-up, etc.). Within the bucket of advising foreign corporations, Belgian companies comprise by far the largest segment. Paul is working with dozens of Belgian clients active in the United States. While based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Paul works on a national level.
