and access,
Heath Dixon is your strategic partner in navigating the complex landscape of commercial and technology transactions. With over two decades of experience, including 16 years as senior in-house counsel for world-leading technology, retail, and professional services companies, Heath knows how to empower businesses that deliver and rely on technology by providing the right advice at the right time. Heath provides business-driven advice through all the pivotal stages of the development lifecycle and across a wide range of legal issues surrounding technology-driven products and services. From advising on conceptualization and design to delivering infrastructure, professional services, and licensing agreements, through crafting customer-focused service terms and privacy policies, Heath helps companies avoid and mitigate legal risks when it matters most without compromising speed to market. With extensive experience on both sides of vendor-customer relationships, Heath focuses on assessing the practical nature of legal risks to secure the right protections for clients in those commercial relationships. His ability to balance the competing interests on both sides of the table and to frame complex issues in terms counterparties can appreciate ensures productive negotiations and fosters durable commercial relationships. Over his 12-year tenure at Amazon, Heath negotiated business-critical agreements and facilitated hundreds of new product launches for Amazon Web Services (AWS), led legal support for all domain name-related operations, and oversaw the transition from Amazon’s legacy IP asset management systems. At EDS (now Hewlett Packard Enterprise), Heath managed EDS’ relationship with a billion-dollar customer. Providing high-level general counsel services for EDS management, he helped resolve contractual disputes with the customer, restructure the services EDS was providing, and turn around a troubled relationship. As a result, he understands how to manage the difficult issues that can arise throughout the contract lifecycle and how to craft, implement, and improve internal policies and processes for operational risk management. Whatever challenges your business faces, you can trust Heath to provide business-focused and customer-friendly solutions.
