Bernd Mayer Bio

Bernd Mayer serves as the head of Skadden’s German corporate governance practice. He has substantial experience in advising and assisting management and supervisory boards in corporate governance, internal investigations and regulatory matters. Mr. Mayer has handled accounting and tax fraud matters for financial institutions, advised on the implementation of corporate compliance programs, provided training of management and employees, conducted internal cross-border investigations and provided related corporate governance advice. As a member of the firm’s corporate investigations practice, Dr. Mayer has assisted clients with cross-border investigations in, among others, Angola, Austria, Brazil, Columbia, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala, India, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain and Switzerland. He is familiar with best practices relating to forensic investigations.
