Toby Chun is Co-Head of the Firm’s Environmental Practice. His practice focuses on managing the environmental aspects of complex corporate and real estate transactions, with experience across a diverse range of businesses and industries in the United States and around the world. Toby is highly ranked by Chambers USA in the Environment: Mainly Transactional category, where he has been praised for being a “smart, strong lawyer” and for “his ability to analyze and frame technical issues so they can be absorbed and acted upon by business principals.” A client reference noted that Toby “gives us comfort that matters will be addressed responsibly, thoroughly, and expeditiously.” Toby is recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” in the Environmental: Transactional category by The Legal 500 United States and as a “Global Leader” in Who’s Who Legal: Environment, and he is rated AV Preeminent on Martindale-Hubbell by his peers. Toby obtained his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He received his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Science, as well as his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, from Stanford University. He is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association for the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Toby also serves as a guest lecturer on environmental law at the University of Chicago Law School.
