David Hutchins Bio

David Hutchins is a partner in the firm's private equity transactions group in the Boston office. David advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide range of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and dispositions, as well as general corporate matters. David advises on transactions across many industries and verticals, including life sciences, health and wellness, digital health, education and training, environmental services, business support services, consumer and industrial products and services, technology, software, and digital infrastructure. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, David served as the General Counsel of North America Private Investments at Bain Capital, where he advised investors and legal teams on an array of ambitious mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, take-privates, minority and majority investments, governance and regulatory matters, public offerings and fund formations. Prior to Bain Capital, David worked at two global law firms and at PwC prior to law school.
