Bio

Brendan Mcnallen is a partner in the Energy & Natural Resources Group. His practice focuses on project development and finance in the energy generation, energy storage, transmission and distribution and infrastructure sectors, with a specific focus on renewable energy. He represents developers, owners, manufacturers and lenders on the development, supply, construction and financing of onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and battery energy storage projects. Brendan also represents utilities on the procurement and construction of transmission and distribution facilities, procurement programs and program management activities. He has advised on energy projects throughout the United States and around the world, including Europe, South America, the Middle East, Mexico and Canada. Brendan is also part of the firm’s global environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice, focused on assisting corporate clients achieve their sustainability and climate change initiatives, including through the use of novel financing structures. Brendan’s infrastructure experience includes representation of developers, lenders and sovereigns in a wide range of sectors, including airports, water (including desalination), toll roads and ports and in various jurisdictions, including the United States, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Canada and the Caribbean. Brendan has significant experience in Central Asia and India. He lived and worked in Kazakhstan where he assisted with the successful financial restructuring of two of the nation’s four largest banks. Brendan has also represented Indian and international clients on in-bound and out-bound Indian investments, including numerous cross-border joint venture transactions in India.
