Bradley Schmarak Bio

Brad is the Global Co-Head of the Private Equity Group and the former Vice Chairman of the Business and Finance Department. He helps lead the personnel, administrative, business development and client management activities for the Global Corporate Group and the Business and Finance Department more broadly. Brad works extensively with general counsels, senior management teams and boards of directors in complex domestic and cross-border investment transactions. Brad focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, sales, recapitalizations and debt and equity raises. Brad has led scores of transactions in a 30-year career in a variety of industries including financial services, technology, food, restaurant, consumer products, business services, etc. These deals involve numerous publicly-traded companies and private equity funds, along with a variety of privately held businesses. Brad's deals usually have international aspects and he routinely works on transactions that cover Europe, Canada, Latin America, Australia and Asia. Brad is ranked in Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business and Super Lawyers as a leader in the Corporate legal arena.
