William Schultz Bio

Will Schultz is an experienced corporate lawyer who represents privately held businesses and their owners. As outside general counsel and a trusted advisor for his clients, including family-owned businesses and private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Having served for over eight years as the general counsel of a parent company to a global family of manufacturing businesses prior to joining Quarles, Will brings broad business experience to the advice he provides to clients. Known for his collaborative, results-oriented style, Will approaches his work from the premise that listening to and understanding what is important to a client (as well as to the other party to a transaction) is key to resolving differences and getting deals — and business in general — done. Will is national chair of the firm’s Business Law Group, co-chair of the firm’s Privately Held Businesses team, section chair of the firm’s transactional practice groups and a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
