William Ching Bio

Billy leads the Nelson Mullins Private Equity Practice Group, where he counsels companies and their owners, private equity funds, and venture capital funds in a wide array of, buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, equity financings, and complex corporate matters. Billy takes personal pride in counseling hardworking business owners as they navigate the complexities of selling their life’s work. He is trusted by fund clients and their portfolio companies to advise them on platform and add-on acquisitions and exit transactions. Billy has led transactions in numerous industries including business services, SAAS, software, healthcare technology, HVAC, distribution, manufacturing, food and beverage, IT consulting and many more. Billy is an avid tennis player, investor, UNC basketball fan, and he enjoys the TV show "Billions." A personal highlight came in 1986, when Billy scored a basket on Michael Jordan.
