Zachary Briers is a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson. He represents clients in their most significant technology-related issues, both in high-stakes litigation and industry-shaping transactions. Zach’s clients include Google, Intel, Meta, and Verizon, in addition to tech-focused founders, investors and philanthropists. Zach has been recognized as one of the country’s leading technology lawyers. In 2022, he was named by Law360 as one of the top 5 technology lawyers under the age of 40. The publication profiled Zach’s work as counsel for Intel in the $9 billion sale of its NAND memory business and as counsel to YouTube in a putative class action alleging that content moderators experienced psychological trauma due to the nature of their work. The same year, Zach was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the top 40 lawyers in California under the age of 40, in an article that described Zach’s ability to excel in both litigation and transactions. Zach regularly represents technology companies in litigation concerning intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. He takes pride in distilling complicated facts into digestible narratives for judges and juries.
