James Beach represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a broad range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including leveraged buyouts of private and public targets, divestitures, and growth equity investments. He also advises private equity-owned and public companies in all stages of their lifecycle. James has completed over $15 billion of aggregate transactions across numerous industries, including enterprise software, data, security and technology, logistics, manufacturing and consumer products. Prior to joining MoFo, James was partner at a boutique private equity firm and in the private equity and M&A group at another global law firm. James earned his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Senior Editor of the Georgetown Environmental Law Journal. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and a minor in Global Peace and Security from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside.
