Christoph Wagner has more than 25 years of experience as an M&A and regulatory lawyer in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) industries. He has a particular focus on complex transactions as well as the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) and providing strategic regulatory advice to media and communications companies. Christoph has handled the acquisition of TV providers (ProSiebenSat.1, Sky Deutschland, N24, and Das Vierte); large TV-rights packages (UEFA Champions League, NFL, Bundesliga, and film and TV-series packages); and cable network operators (Unitymedia, Tele Columbus, PrimaCom, and pepcom). He also structured joint ventures in the TMT industry (Visoon and netID). Christoph is an honorary professor at the University of Potsdam and lectures on European media law and digital platforms. He is a frequent speaker on media and communications issues and has published numerous articles and monographies on digitization, anti-piracy, cable consolidation, and net neutrality, among other topics. Christoph is co-chair of the firm’s Global Media Group. He has been a notary public with an official residence in Berlin since 2000.
