Bio

Douglas Elkins focuses his practice in the area of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities and general business representation. Doug's practice largely surrounds strategic international and domestic merger and acquisition transactions and private equity, including representation of strategic acquirers, sellers, private equity funds and management funds. Doug has also been involved in a number of significant acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, syndications and other transactional matters in the healthcare industry in various markets across the United States. Doug graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law and is a native of Chattanooga. He received his undergraduate degree in History, with honors, from Davidson College.
