Nikolai Sokolov Bio

Nikolai Sokolov advises private equity and strategic investors on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates. His practice covers leveraged buyouts (LBOs), management buyouts (MBOs), co-investments, carve-outs, joint ventures, reorganizations, and corporate restructurings. He also counsels on corporate governance and general corporate law matters.Nikolai has significant experience advising on management participation programs (including MEPs, MIPs, and ESOPs) and shareholder agreements. He regularly advises on warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance aspects in M&A transactions. His practice further includes advising venture capital investors and business angels. He works with clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, software, business services, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, defense, infrastructure, and real estate. Nikolai has completed secondments with the legal department of a multinational corporation and the investment team of a real estate investor.
