Bio

Joseph Castelluccio is a multifaceted advisor who has a broad array of experience advising clients in a range of M&A, joint ventures, capital raising and corporate governance matters, often in highly-regulated industries. He is based in Mayer Brown’s New York office. Joe’s clients include global financial institutions, insurance companies, private equity funds, multinational corporations and innovative emerging growth companies. He also advises boards of directors of publicly traded and private companies in a variety of high stakes matters. Joe’s work involves a range of industries, including fintech, asset management, banking, insurance, transportation and infrastructure, among others. Joe’s M&A, joint venture and other corporate work includes deep experience on cross-border transactions, especially for financial institutions and multinational companies based in Japan. Joe is a co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Fintech and Digital Assets, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency groups. His clients include the world’s largest financial institutions, payments providers and banks that are developing blockchain strategies and products. His clients also include the world’s largest and most innovative blockchain native businesses, token issuers and developers. As a member of the Corporate & Securities practice, Joe also co-leads Mayer Brown’s transactional liability insurance practice. In this capacity, he draws on his M&A experience in representing underwriters in issuing representations and warranties insurance and other types of transactional insurance in connection with M&A deals. Joe is a member of the Legal Advisory Council for Sanctuary for Families. He is also a member of the Northeast Advisory Board for Youth About Business, a national youth leadership development organization for high school students from diverse and underserved communities.
