Bio

Admitted to the Paris Bar, Jean-Philippe is Managing Partner of the Paris office. Jean-Philippe regularly advises listed and non-listed companies, investment funds as well as major French and global groups in the structuring, negotiation and implementation of their M&A and financing transactions, in France and abroad. He also represents French and foreign groups on their complex litigations before French jurisdictions. He is also specialized in restructuring and collective proceedings dispute resolution. Jean-Philippe recently advised Veolia on its litigation against Suez following the acquisition of 29.9% shares of Suez from Engie and following the OPA launched on the remaining share capital in February 2021. He also continues to advise Veolia, with his team, on the acquisition of Suez and the implementation of the European commission requirements. Jean-Philippe joined Mayer Brown in 2001 when his firm, Lambert & Lee, merged with Mayer Brown. Before forming Lambert & Lee in 1996, he had worked for three major international law firms. In addition to his native French, Jean-Philippe is fluent in English and Spanish.
