A native of Silicon Valley, Carl Hessler grew up across the street from one of the fabled apricot orchards that previously covered most of the valley and around the block from the former Apple headquarters at One Infinite Loop. Although the closest he’s come to technological achievement may have been the seismograph he built in the garage for a seventh-grade science fair project (with a big assist from his dad), he’s always been drawn to the latest in tech. Carl represents emerging technology companies and the investors who fund them across a range of industries, including consumer internet, consumer hardware, enterprise software, digital health, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. He has led clients through hundreds of venture capital transactions and brings a practical business perspective to the table. Carl also has an active M&A practice and has advised clients in business combinations with serial acquirers such as Google, Oracle, Walmart, Twitter, and Facebook. His singular focus is efficient, value-driven service for his clients and a pragmatic understanding of both legal and business issues. Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Carl was an intern with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division and the San Francisco City Attorney's Office.
