Lauren Carey is a skilled corporate attorney and practice leader who brings practical insight and precision to securities, M&A, and advertising law, helping clients navigate complex transactions and regulatory requirements with confidence. Lauren serves as Practice Group Leader for the Securities, Capital Markets & Investments practice group at Lewis Rice. Her practice focuses on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and legal issues related to advertising, promotions, and social media. In her securities work, Lauren advises clients on securities offerings and ongoing reporting obligations, including the preparation of annual and quarterly filings. Her mergers and acquisitions practice includes conducting due diligence reviews, managing data room administration, and negotiating and drafting key transaction documents such as purchase and sale agreements, disclosure schedules, and closing and ancillary documents. Lauren also counsels clients on advertising, promotions, and social media law, providing guidance on endorsements, consumer promotions, and advertising compliance. She regularly performs advertising clearances and drafts licenses, publicity rights releases, and related agreements to ensure legal compliance. Lauren is actively involved in firm initiatives as a member of the Recruiting Committee. She has been recognized by Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars® in 2023 and 2024, and was selected by her peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers® Ones to Watch for 2026.
