Billee Elliott McAuliffe Bio

Billee Elliott McAuliffe advises clients on the compliance and risk considerations surrounding data, technology, AI, and corporate transactions. She helps businesses navigate challenges related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT infrastructure with clarity and strategic foresight. Billee serves as Practice Group Leader for the Data Protection & AI practice group at Lewis Rice. She practices in the Corporate Department with a focus on information technology law, advising clients on matters that intersect with nearly every aspect of business operations. Her practice includes technology licensing, cybersecurity and data privacy, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. Billee works with clients to align business objectives with legal requirements, offering practical, client-centered solutions tailored to each engagement. She regularly assists with the purchase, sale, and transition of data, software, and IT equipment in merger and acquisition transactions, helping clients navigate the critical role of enterprise resource systems and data infrastructure in business continuity. Billee is often called upon early in the transaction process to advise both buyers and sellers on IT-related issues, ensuring that data assets—often among a company’s most valuable—are adequately protected and properly transferred. Outside of her legal practice, Billee is a mother of triplets and dedicates much of her free time to volunteering with organizations focused on children and education.
