Liu Sijia specialises in corporate, securities and M&A. He has extensive experience in onshore/offshore initial public offerings, re-financing, mergers and acquisitions, as well as serving financial institutions and large state-owned enterprises. Mr. Liu has represented dozens of Chinese companies in their IPOs on the main board and STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the SME board and ChiNext Market of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. Liu has participated in the implementation of several innovative capital market instruments including perpetual bonds and preferred shares, and represented some central SOEs and large financial institutions in a number of influential M&A projects in their respective sectors. His clients come from a wide range of industries, including banking, securities, energy, mining, engineering, power, aviation, high-end equipment manufacturing and medicine. Mr. Liu also serves as perennial legal counsel for many listed and non-listed companies (including SOEs, private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises), providing clients with compliance management, corporate governance and other legal advisory services.
