John Erwin Bio

John Erwin represents public and private businesses in a wide range of corporate issues including strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other complex commercial transactions, both domestically and internationally. John does substantial work with clients in the health care and life sciences industries. His clients include health care providers, technology companies, and industry leading global corporations. His work has involved numerous transactions in the life sciences space. John guides clients through the complex health care regulatory environment, providing compliance advice and negotiating managed care contracts and other agreements. He also provides corporate advice to companies in a variety of industries. John assists domestic and foreign businesses in cross border transactions. John has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Biotechnology and Life Sciences and Mergers and Acquisitions Law in 2020 and the seven years immediately preceding and again in 2026 and the five years immediately preceding for Biotechnology and Life Sciences, Corporate Law, and Mergers and Acquisitions Law. He was named a “Legal Elite” in 2024 by Business North Carolina magazine for Corporate Law. John was also appointed by the North Carolina Bar Association as the leader of the delegation to Argentina in 2008 and a member of the delegation to Taiwan in 2006.
