Giles Elliott has more than 20 years of experience advising companies, sponsors, and financial institutions on an extensive range of corporate transactions and governance matters including public and private M&A, fund-raisings, buyouts, joint ventures, and investments. Representative transactions include advising on the formation of the iQ Group, a £2.0 billion student housing owner and operator owned by the REPIA division of Goldman Sachs and The Wellcome Trust and its recent acquisition of the Pure Portfolio from LetterOne; the IPO of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation, a FTSE 100 mining company; numerous joint ventures, acquisitions, and disposals for The British Land Company PLC; and a number of transactions for J.F. Lehman & Company, a New York-based private equity firm specializing in the aerospace, maritime, and defense industries for which he has acted for more than 15 years.
