Larry is a widely respected mergers and acquisitions attorney with decades of experience representing acquirers and sellers in transactions ranging in size from mid-market to in excess of $1 billion. His years of deal-making give him a deep understanding of structuring, negotiating, and documenting every facet of a transaction, integrating subject matter specialists as necessary. His experience also allows him the unique ability to effectively mitigate the issues and emotions that can derail a negotiation. With closing the deal as his main objective, Larry focuses on ensuring that all parties involved emerge with the same outcome outlined at the onset of negotiations. Both his clients and their advisors consistently refer Larry to public and private buyers and sellers seeking an M&A attorney, both domestically and abroad. Larry gained widespread recognition as a co-creator of the American Bar Association’s influential M&A Deal Points Studies, through which his thought leadership has helped shape M&A practices around the globe. He also served as a co-founding chair of the American Bar Association’s M&A Market Trends subcommittee, the publisher of the Deal Points Studies. Larry also co-founded the Dallas Bar Association’s M&A Section. He is widely sought after to serve as an expert witness in corporate and M&A matters. Through his passion for establishing and maintaining best practices for M&A deals, Larry co-founded the Mergers and Acquisitions Institute at The University of Texas School of Law 18 years ago. The UT M&A Institute is widely regarded as the preeminent private M&A conference in the United States. He continues to co-chair the annual conference that brings leading practitioners and experts in finance, accounting, and law together to analyze and evaluate current M&A trends, opportunities, and concerns.
