Collin Baker is a partner in the Corporate and Securities section of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. His practice focuses on the representation of foreign and domestic institutional investors with respect to their alternative assets investments including in the review and negotiation of limited partnership agreements and subscription agreements and drafting side letters. Such alternative assets investments include private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, energy funds and separate managed accounts. Collin also has experience representing investment fund sponsors in the structuring, formation and offering of private investment funds and the associated negotiations with limited partners. Additionally, Collin represents a diverse group of private companies and wealthy individuals in a broad array of general corporate matters including entity structuring and formation, offerings of debt and equity securities and real estate joint ventures. Collin often serves as the outside general counsel for operating companies by providing advice on employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consulting and service agreements as well as other commercial agreements.
