Steven Filipowski concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate transactions, employment relations and corporate and commercial financing, and workouts. Steve acts as outside general counsel to many closely held business enterprises, representing them in mergers and acquisitions (asset and stock sales), employer relations, executive employment relations and exit and inter-generational transition planning. Steve has decades of experience counseling business owners and operators managing business disputes, employment relations disputes, reductions in force related to economic downturns, renegotiation of bank financing, employment termination disputes and disputes among business owners. Steve has extensive experience in assisting clients working through complex business problems, bringing an experienced, analytical perspective to issues which are sometimes novel to clients. Steve counsels businesses engaged in sales and distribution, manufacturing, construction, e-commerce, consulting, medical practice and legal practice.
