Brian Scrivani Bio

Brian Scrivani is a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups. Brian’s practice focuses on advising private equity firms and public and private clients on a wide range of corporate transactions including leveraged buyouts and other private equity transactions, public company acquisitions, sales and divestitures and mergers-of-equals. He also advises board of directors and special committees on corporate and securities law, fiduciary matters and corporate governance matters including unsolicited offers, proxy contests and other activist defense matters. Brian was named a “Rising Star” in M&A by The Deal and Legal 500 has recognized him as a recommended practitioner in private equity buyouts. Before joining Gibson Dunn, Brian was a partner at an international law firm. Brian received a B.A. in English and History, with distinction, from the University of Virginia in 2002. He then received a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2007, where he was the Chief Articles Editor of the Texas Law Review. Brian is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
