Bertrand Delaunay is a partner in the paris office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions, Business Restructuring and Reorganization, and Private Equity Practice Groups. Mr. Delaunay is specialized in mergers and acquisitions, including joint-ventures, and private equity. He is also a specialist of corporate aspects of restructuring, infrastructure, energy and real estate transactions. He acts both on behalf of industrial companies, investment funds and banks. Legal 500 EMEA 2021 recommends Bertrand Delaunay for his ability to handle the corporate aspects of Insolvency operations. The previous edition highlighted him in its Mergers & Acquisitions category, adding he is a “key practitioner”. Previous editions described him as a “corporate expert” in connection with restructuring matters, “available and knowledgeable” ; “very technical and a great professional” and a “key point of contact” for Corporate/M&A. Best Lawyers (2014-2021) also recommends him for both M&A and Private equity. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2017, Mr. Delaunay practiced with Ashurst since 1998, where he served as Managing Partner of the Paris office from 2010 to 2012. Mr. Delaunay is admitted to the Paris Bar and speaks French and English fluently.
