Mathew Petersen practice focuses on representing financial institutions with a broad range of legal, regulatory, and operational issues. He has experience representing banks, bank holding companies, and fintech companies. Mr. Petersen's corporate and securities practice focuses on representing community banks and their holding companies in the negotiation and consummation of mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset acquisitions, and debt and equity security offerings. Mr. Petersen also assists clients with drafting shareholders agreements, preparing organizational documents, the formation of bank holding companies, and other corporate governance matters, including change of control issues and insider transactions. Mr. Petersen also has experience representing public financial institutions in strategic corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and public offerings.
