He advises clients across sectors on mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, restructuring, exits and corporate governance matters, particularly in the energy and financial services sectors. Gary Macdonald has been advising corporate entities, investors and management teams on M&A and related corporate finance work for many years, working closely with clients to understand their needs and to deliver constructive solutions to problems. Whilst technical excellence will always be at the heart of the service he delivers to clients, he always puts advice in a commercial context and frames it in accessible language. Gary looks to establish a deep understanding of the opportunities, pressures and challenges of the sectors his clients operate in, to ensure his advice is always pragmatic and driven by a desire to find solutions. Gary works closely with his clients' management, their legal and commercial teams and with their other advisers, operating as a seamless extension of the legal function and trusted adviser to the business.
