John focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, securities law, and general corporate law. John advises public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors, on U.S. and cross-border corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, carveouts, auctions, joint ventures, and reorganizations as well as corporate governance matters. He has advised on M&A transactions across a variety of industries, including biomedical, defense, finance, food, beverage, and agribusiness, healthcare, manufacturing, media, gaming and entertainment, pharmaceuticals, real estate, retail, and technology. John has completed business combination transactions alongside local counsel in over a dozen countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Scandinavia, and continental Europe. Prior to joining Dorsey & Whitney LLP, John practiced for several years in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.
