Luis Vargas concentrates his practice on local and cross-border corporate structures, corporate governance practices and overall contract negotiation matters. He has extensive experience in providing legal advice on complex corporate reorganizations and transactions, domestic and international franchises and joint ventures, while also counselling companies on the special needs of their day-to-day operations. Luis has spent considerable time handling M&A mandates for local and foreign companies in several sectors, including construction, energy, real estate, retail and agriculture. Other key areas of his practice include foreign and local investment, principally on private equity work; counseling fund managers on their investments in Peru; and performing due diligence processes. Luis has been a professor in the Law Faculties of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) teaching the courses "Property Transactions" and "Corporate Law Matters," respectively.
