Gert Nissen Bio

Gert has more than 20 years’ experience in advising on insolvency and restructuring. Gert has a right of audience before the Danish High Courts and is a certified insolvency lawyer. Furthermore, Gert has been appointed to the panel of insolvency attorneys set up by the Danish Debt Collection Agency within the judicial district of Aarhus and is assistant administrator at the Bankruptcy Court in Aarhus in debt rescheduling cases. Gert has been appointed trustee in several bankruptcy estates. Gert advises particularly small and medium-sized enterprises facing financial distress, especially in terms of liquidity. He also provides advice on operational and liquidity improvement and is, thereby, engaged in financing, organisation and management. Furthermore, Gert provides assistance to creditors and charge holders and excels in adjudication proceedings, restructuring models and bankruptcy proceedings. As part of his advisory services, Gert has handled several restructurings and completed a large number of business transfers. Gert Nissen is a part-time lecturer in Insolvency Law at Aarhus University and has authored a number of publications.
