David Meiler is a partner of Campos Mello Advogados' Oil and Gas practice, based in Rio de Janeiro. David advises domestic and international companies on the production of oil and gas in Brazil, and has provided counsel on tax matters before federal and state government agencies, particularly regarding special customs for the oil and gas industry in Brazil (ie REPETRO Regime). David represents clients in a number of transactional areas including import, storage and distribution, obtaining permits, attaining authorization from relevant regulatory bodies, and drafting and amending contracts. He also assists clients in auditing, consulting, and litigation for environmental issues, tax and customs, and labor law among other issues involving civil law in the Brazilian oil and gas industry. David represents clients in a number of transactional affairs such as import, storage and distribution, obtaining permits, attaining authorization from relevant regulatory bodies, and drafting and amending contracts. He also assists clients in auditing, consulting and litigation for environmental issues, tax and customs, and labor law among other civil issues in the Brazilian oil and gas industry. Before joining the firm in 2013, David served as partner at a prominent Brazilian law firm and, before that, worked as an associate at an international law firm.
