Stuart Anderson Bruce Bio

Stuart is a Partner and Head of Corporate in the BVI Corporate and Finance practices groups. Prior to joining Dentons, Stuart spent over a decade with one of the BVI’s leading offshore firms after working in London with another top international law firm. Stuart has a diverse range of international clients and regularly advises on the offshore aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public and private share offerings, corporate reorganisations and all corporate aspects relating to shareholder disputes. Stuart also has extensive corporate lending and finance experience specialising in trade, acquisition and property financings, and has worked closely with onshore counsel in connection to a wide number of asset and Islamic finance transactions. Stuart frequently advises clients on their BVI regulatory and compliance obligations and has particular expertise with investment business licence applications and ensuring clients accord to all ongoing regulatory obligations. Recently Stuart has assisted numerous clients with classifications and solutions to ensure compliance with BVI economic substance requirements.
