Michael Holtz Bio

Michael J. Holtz is a member of Dentons' Corporate practice. He concentrates on advising corporate clients on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and compliance issues, commercial finance, and corporate governance. In his corporate practice, Michael counsels distillers, manufacturers (including automotive suppliers and tobacco producers), cannabis companies and those looking to enter the space, and clients in the construction, hotel and hospitality, and insurance industries. He works closely with clients in many facets of their businesses, including entity formation and internal restructuring, the preparation of shareholder, non-competition, and an array of commercial agreements (including manufacturing agreements and contracts involving the construction and leasing of industrial properties), and the negotiation of state and local economic and tax incentives. Michael has extensive experience in regulatory issues involving the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau and state and local departments of alcoholic beverage control, and routinely counsels clients on compliance with licensure and reporting requirements. Prior to joining Dentons, Michael provided in-house legal advice with respect to federal and state political law compliance for a publicly traded tobacco company.
