Jan-Mathijs Hermans is a partner and a civil-law notary in Corporate. He is active in M&A, Private Equity and Capital Markets transactions. He works side by side in complex finance and asset finance projects with our Banking team. He specializes in corporate, real estate law, (asset) finance, security and enforcement. Prior to joining Dentons, Jan-Mathijs had over 14 years’ experience as a partner in the Corporate and Finance department of Simmons & Simmons LLP in Amsterdam. His clients include Dutch and international corporations and businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, private equity firms, real estate and hedge funds, banks and other financial institutions. He advises on complex (cross border) transactions and delivers high quality service thanks to his international work experience and strong work ethic based on accessibility, discretion and a hands-on approach. Jan-Mathijs is a trusted advisor to several leading multinationals and banks, acting as a civil-law notary and a corporate legal advisor for Procter & Gamble Company, Upfield Europe B.V. and Unibail-Rodamco in the Netherlands, among others.
