Mike’s practice is primarily transactional, focused on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and private equity transactions. In addition, he serves as general corporate counsel to a number of regional and national businesses in a variety of industries. He is co-leader of the Firm’s National Corporate practice group and the Dentons Cohen & Grigsby Corporate practice group lead. Mike also serves as a member of the Firm’s Executive and Oversight Committee and its Compensation Committee. He has formerly served as the Firm’s Vice President of Finance & Treasurer, a member of the Shareholders’ Council, and Chair of the Recruiting and Hiring Committee. Mike’s transactional experience includes control transactions, acquisitions and divestitures of subsidiaries, divisions, and product lines, domestic and international joint ventures, tax-free spin-offs, public and private tender offers and mergers, significant internal reorganizations, private equity transactions, and public and private sales of securities. Mike also regularly counsels clients on day to day legal and business matters. Mike's practice includes clients in a variety of industries, including automotive, metals, aerospace, energy, defense, chemicals, building products, software, construction and financial services.
