Kyle Montrose Bio

Kyle is an attorney in Dentons’ Indianapolis office and a member of the Corporate Services department. He concentrates his practice in corporate and transactional law. Kyle often serves as outside general counsel to privately held businesses. In doing so, he works with each business and their leaders to identify and solve problems, roadmap strategic action, and draft and negotiate a wide variety of instruments for whatever legal or business issues arise. He endeavors to work closely with clients to develop a strong knowledgebase and personal understanding of particular needs and motivations. Kyle represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions transactions of various sizes. Kyle also represents businesses and their owners with a diverse range of strategic succession planning. In doing so, Kyle is particularly adept at navigating all stages of a business’ life cycle and has the necessary skills and disposition to make each client’s particular situation as straightforward as is possible. Kyle earned his MBA from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner School of Business after beginning legal practice. He leverages the associated skills to provide additional value to clients through business planning and financial analysis. Whether handling a variety of day-to-day legal matters or closing the deal, Kyle understands and is able to tactfully advance the client’s objectives. Kyle has a history of effective leadership, including previous service as a leader of the firm’s Associate Advisory Group, which is tasked with encouraging lawyer development, education, and mentoring. Similar prior leadership roles include service as Magister of the Phi Delta Phi international legal honor’s society and on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Prior to joining Dentons, Kyle spent time with an Indianapolis-based Fortune 500 manufacturing and distribution company, where he served as a Law Clerk to its in-house legal team. During law school, Kyle served on the editorial board of the Indiana Law Review and was a Competitor in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Kyle is passionate about criminal justice reform, and devotes personal time to serve on the Board of Directors of an Indianapolis-based re-entry non-profit organization. In his free time, Kyle enjoys involvement with the local automotive and motorsport community and spending time with his dogs, family, and friends.
