Jake focuses primarily on all aspects of the purchase, sale, lease, financing, and development of residential and commercial real estate, including retail, office, hospitality, health care, agriculture, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. He has experience with land use/zoning, economic incentives, title matters, 1031 exchanges, and complex transaction and ownership structures. He assists borrowers and lenders with the structuring, documenting, negotiation, closing, modification, and participation of construction, permanent, revolving and other business and real estate loans, as well as with loan enforcement matters such as receiverships, foreclosure, and workouts. Jake also advises sponsors and investors in private placements and other equity financing and investments. In addition, Jake represents clients in connection with business mergers and acquisitions and with structuring and operating LLCs and other business entities and investment vehicles. He provides clients with comprehensive general counsel on a wide range of business, real property, and regulatory matters. His clients range from private investors to public companies, and include developers, financial institutions, companies in a wide range of industries, trade groups, and nonprofit entities.
