Christopher Jones is Co-Leader of the national Corporate group and prior Chair of the Bingham Greenebaum Doll Private Equity/Mergers and Acquisitions group. He practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, financial institutions and cross-border transactions. As a transactional lawyer, he has helped both public and private corporations of all sizes with mergers and acquisitions activity, to raise capital and to comply with federal and state securities laws. Chris has a background in regulatory issues involving the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve, and state banking and securities administrative agencies. Chris has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including managed care and commercial health insurance companies, assisted living companies and other healthcare industry clients. His practice also includes representation of banks, credit unions, broker-dealers, investment advisors and other financial companies. He also represents private equity and venture capital funds, family offices and fund sponsors in connection with fund formation, securities law matters and the acquisition, sale and recapitalization of their portfolio companies. In many cases, he coordinates all of the legal work for these clients, acting as an advisor and outside general counsel.
