Carmin Grandinetti, co-leader of the Health Care group, assists clients with general acquisitions and dispositions, with an emphasis on the health care industry. Carmin draws on more than 35 years of experience in the health care and post-acute industries and senior housing to assist clients operating in those industries in acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing. He also has considerable experience in development of senior housing and assisted living facilities, including joint ventures formation and debt and equity financing related to such development work. Carmin spent several years as senior vice president and general counsel of a large assisted living facility in the US. He also served as principal outside counsel for several post-acute care companies. Because of this experience, he understands the health care and post-acute care industries and the challenges companies face with operations and staying in compliance. Carmin also helps physicians stay in compliance amid the ever-evolving regulatory landscape, including Stark Law, federal anti-kickback statute, related exemption and safe harbor regulations. He has also represented physicians who are selling practices to private equity sponsored managed services organizations. In addition to serving clients in the health care industry, Carmin represents clients in development, financing, acquisitions and dispositions in the real estate, insurance, construction and service industries.
