Paulina Stanfel Bio

Paulina Stanfel is a corporate partner based in the New York office and a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Her practice focuses on advising clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions and other complex transactions in the insurance industry. She is a member of the team that authored the 2025 update of “Insurance and Investment Management M&A Deskbook,” published by Practising Law Institute. Ms. Stanfel joined Debevoise in 2015. Ms. Stanfel received a J.D. from Duke University School of Law magna cum laude in 2015. She was a member of Law and Contemporary Problems and received the 2015 Faculty Award in Commercial Transactions and Bankruptcy Law. She received a B.S. with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012.
