Bio

Christopher Anthony is Deputy Co-Chair of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and a member of the Private Equity Group. He has worked extensively on acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures for both private equity and corporate clients. Mr. Anthony is ranked by Chambers USA (2024), where clients note that he is “highly responsive, always very thoughtful and has a calm and even-keeled demeanor, even in very high stress circumstances.” Sources have also said that “he really gets into the detail” and “he understands highly complex subjects and distills them in understandable ways.” Clients further note that he is “detail-oriented with a strategic viewpoint” and that “he’s a very strong negotiator who is commercially minded and able to explain the business rationale for legal concepts very clearly.” He is said to have “the rare ability to see the full picture of a deal and tailor his responses accordingly.” Mr. Anthony is also recognized as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 US (2024) and as a Rising Star Partner by IFLR1000 (2022), where he is recommended for private equity and M&A. He was named a 2021 Rising Star for private equity by Law360 and a 2019 Rising Star for M&A by The Deal. Mr. Anthony is a contributing author to the Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions Answer Book (Practising Law Institute, 2020) and the Debevoise & Plimpton Private Equity Report.
